Return of the King On The Moon

April 28, 2016
Today I presented at the Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKa) in Rotterdam for the practice public&private class 'King on the Moon' under the leadership of Niek Verschoor. Space as a metaphor. It is the high ground. It brings peace. It helps in making war. It provides us safety. It is a threat to our privacy. It is empty. It is beautiful. It is violent. It is the backbone for globalization. It has no room for errors. It is vast. It makes us feel small. It is.... Space.

King on the Moon is the title of the Space Exploration themed course offered by the Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKa) in Rotterdam. WdKa is one of the leading art & design education schools in the Netherlands. Following last year's edition, I am very thrilled to contribute to this year's course, organized by creative artist Niek Verschoor. They inspired me last year for my own little Space 'art' project in Denmark.
This year's theme is 'Exploring and taking possession of Unknown Terrain'. Space Exploration is of course a great metaphor and I will be speaking about this to the students on April 28, 2016. Below is a selection of YouTube videos that will be the inspiration of my presentation.
